So that's how the Bri-ish do it; what are the voter ID laws in Australia, where voting is mandatory?

Simpler explanation: Lorne Michaels likes things that suck.  Seth Meyers is still head writer and host of Weekend Update, and the show has been mediocre on its best nights for years now.  If Lorne was concerned with quality, the show (and its writing staff) would be different right now.

Are you sure this isn't an exaggeration?  Like, instead of getting fired, the library you worked at just closed because, you know, the internet?

Whoa, calm down.  We get SNL in primetime on Thursdays this fall!  And last time they did that, it was totally awesome.  I mean, more Seth Meyers?!  Yes please!

The thing is, Ferrell's Bush wasn't all that good of an impression.  Funny, but not all that accurate.  The fact that every impression after Ferrell was an impression of his impression exacerbated the issue.  Frankly, the switch to Pharaoh won't matter if it's not funny, and I have no confidence in the show writing

Another Community similarity: they changed the setting between the pilot and this episode from Boston to LA.  Community never officially said on air it was set in Colorado (or that it's now in California) but it's really difficult to set a show in a cold-weather area if it's filmed in LA.  Just ask Freaks and Geeks:

You're definitely right about the anticlimactic nature of the show in general, but especially this season.  Frank and Becky were the best all season, and so when they weren't in the final, it was destined to feel like a letdown and kind of a fraud.  At least it wasn't Monti.

Yup, definitely only the convictions of white people.  That's why you've heard more about black liberation theology this election cycle than Mormonism, right?  Or maybe BLT hasn't been mentioned once by anyone, even when Jeremiah Wright comes up.  It's one or the other, I don't remember which.

The German version of the Office did do the Diversity Training bit with everyone putting ethnic identities on their foreheads, and one of them was Hitler.  Is that what you're thinking of?

I don't really remember the judges ever disagreeing about whether a dish was good or not.  As noted above, we often don't see every reaction, so maybe that's an editing choice.  It just seems highly unlikely that the three of them would be unanimous in every single case, but that's the image the show projects.
