Robert Carlyle's Rumpelstiltskin in Weird time is supposed to be campy and over the top so when we see him stroll up with the pimp cane in S'Brooke we know the character isn't one-dimensional, like Regina. I love that last scene. It just makes Rumpelstiltskin a badass mofo.

Daddy and Daddy were the highlight of the episode. Strangely, I kind of forgot Damon was creeping on two hundred during that reconciliation scene. He grinned like a damn kid while Alaric perfected his stern exasperation face. Matt Davis and Ian Somerhalder are such a pleasure to watch.

Declan's accent bothers me more than his apparent uselessness. Do all the locals speak East Coast speakeasy? But then is Jack just an anomaly (a valid argument since he's pretty much too good to be even remotely real)? Maybe where the hell this kid came from is another mystery.
