For whatever reason the decor of all the Denny's I've been to have been fairly warm and inviting while IHOP is just cold and depressing. Of course whenever I've been to a Denny's recently, it's usually while in a state of inebriation.

It was a bit underwhelming but still okay. My friends on the other hand were incredibly ecstatic about it, always talking about how great this one part was or how that scene with a young Mako was fantastic. It got very circlejerk-y with them.

Wasn't there some hubbub over Travis Beacham and the original Pacific Rim script? How the script was trite and incredibly fetishistic towards Mako before Del Toro came aboard?
