Rob Corddry as Dan Dreiberg is something I legitimately want to be a thing now!
J.D.M. as the Comedian is brilliant casting, and I liked Patrick Wilson as Dan Dreiberg/Nite Owl II, and Stephen McHattie in the Director's Cut (not the original cut, because the movie really doesn't do him justice in that cut) was excellent.
I won't lie that I liked the sex scene in the movie, but for entirely difference reasons, that Schlubby Patrick Wilson Man ass Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah" playing during the scene. I don't care what people say about that scene or the use of that song, it's staged perfectly.
I haven't made it clear until now, so I'll explain: I was in High School, where EVERYBODY loved 300 (They also loved Zoolander, which I've warmed up overtime) , even my girlfriend at the time, so when I saw it and didn't like it, I caught shit for maybe a year after, so I hate 300 more than a reasonable human being…
I hate the way the movie is staged because she's just standing there for the whole number. I blame the director for not knowing how to direct the movie, of what I remember, there are no cuts, edits, she just stands there for 3 minutes. Perhaps it speaks to the ADHD culture I'm a part of, but something has to be going…
I'm of the same mindset, it's not "Don't Walk Away" or "The Fall", which are just really, really good songs with a little more to chew on. I think the only time I've liked the song is for some video of people dancing around the world, and that was just cute, but the song is just boring.
A western for On the Third Day would be unique, but I hated the Fiction written for ANWR, I believe it was called "Mission of the Sacred Heart", and it's more a hipster pining over his girlfriend, and then he meets an Alien (in keeping in tune with "Mission"), and every chapter heading is a line from "A New World…
I'm of the exact same Persuasion, except that I like the Graphic Novel, but I like how they make enough changes while providing enough of Snyder's style to the film.
The marketing boys say I need a logo, If I'm to have a symbol, it will be one I respect.
His made his mask with Crayons! Such a creative vigilante!
I'm not Gilliam's biggest fan, and even I would certainly be interested in watching his interpretation.
Owl be sure to check it out.
The whole world will look up and shout, "No Please!" And Snyder will look down and say, "No".
Having actually watched Thumbelina last night (Which is a terrible Don Bluth Movie from '94), and then going back to watch the "Don't Walk Away" sequence, It's amazing how Bluth just started copying himself after awhile. It's a beautiful animated sequence with a wonderful song, but it just seems so funny how he ended…
The "I'm Alive" sequence is so silly, but the actual song is just a happy number. Whatever can be said about the Electric Light Orchestra, they knew how to make lots of happy songs, and "I'm Alive" is no exception.
Leave that to the mountains of Indie Book writers to come up with those ideas for you. No joke, I've heard of two Independent Books now, one based off the Time album and one based off of the A New World Record, with that one being insufferably smug, the other is just a narrative applied to the Time album. Their music…
He just remakes the "Kings Speech" in 3D and the movie is made up of Hitchcock Zooms, Yeah, I'll pay 12 Dollars for that!
You mess with the Hippogriff, you get the horns.
Oh, C'mon! How is getting branded with a giant red "V" on your forehead any worse than having CancerAIDS on an AV Club Post?
