Oh, somehow forgot I saw Friends with Kids. I tried to skim the comments to see if anyone else venture out to that, but came up short. I agreed with Tasha on a few points (mostly how chaotic and shrill the "parents" became), but mostly I thought it was funny and sweet, with some surprisingly serious emotional beats…

I'm referring to how quiet it is. Yes, its brutal, and yes, its dramatic. But compared to The Fighter, which is super talkie, Warrior let's you draw a lot of your own conclusions about the characters and their relationship to one another.

Yeah Warrior made my top films of 2011 list. I think it may gain some momentum  over time because I thought it went under-noticed last year. It was the less flashy, more subtle brother to The Fighter.
