29. The last year of my 20's starts now. LET'S RAGE!
Yes, I agree that ALIEN is the better film, but ALIENS is so much freaking fun.
It's been ages since I've seen Idaho but it used to be one of my favorites. I desperately love and miss River Phoenix. My god did I hate Last Days. Michael Pitt was stunning as usual, but it may be the most boring, nothing film I've ever seen.
Funny that you mention this, while watching ALIENS I continually went off on a twitter tangent about how sexy Bill Paxton is. This has nothing much to do with the quality of Bill Henrickson as a character or anything. But Bill Paxton in the 80's, especially, was a total dreamboat. Also Twister.
I had many birthday plans this weekend (FYI FRIENDS TODAY IS MY REAL BIRTHDAY), so I didn't watch a ton, but I DID see a fantastic production of SPRING AWAKENING, which is up there with my favorite musicals. I also watched ALIENS for, technically speaking, the first time. This was after watching ALIEN last week. What…
Wait you guys what did I miss? What are we waiting for?
Like I said, I understand it all. KEVIN was going to play on exactly one screen here. I've never even seen an ad for it on television in this area. I feel like pulling the film, and then having articles about the pulling of the film, probably drew more attention to it and its subject matter than it had before.
Fact: Folks are sensitive. The Cleveland release of WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT KEVIN was just pulled/cancelled on account of the school shooting here. I get it. I'm not happy about it, I'm not happy about ANY of this, but I get it.
Reading this I unexpectedly welled up sitting here at work. Nostalgia just blew up in my face. Thank you, Marah. Wish I could have been there.
Coincidentally, I am also only interested in classy pregnant teens. Literally the only thing I'm interested in.
can't bros just be bros who also happen to do each other in the butt? is that too much?
I had a stupidly good time at the screening for this. The film was not "good" but it was "fun". And the one thing I'll really give it is the pacing. It effectively built the chaos to the point of utter frenzy by the last 20 minutes or so, and it did it supremely well. Many of the particulars, including the characters,…
Agreed. Unabashed fan. "Preston….he's got, like, hair. And he wears t-shirts. Sometimes."
I forgot to mention earlier, I was so pleased that Drew got to have is moment in peace. There was one paranoid moment where I feared they'd be walked in on or something, and that would have been so typical for a Drew plot point and he would have died of embarrassment and we'd all wonder when he'd catch a break. But…
GDS, I said the same thing on these comment boards at some point about Amber and Bob/Claire and Ted!! Everyone was calling Bob creepy, but I was thinking of sweet, supportive Ted the whole time.
This episode felt so calm and meticulous it gave me a sense of foreboding. More so than the other season finales. I was emotional and connected throughout, but as everything was wrapping up felt a twinge of fear that I was saying goodbye to the Bravermans, and I hope that's not the case. There are many aspects of the…
This is just something our location did for whatever reason. The sunday staff, became a weird tradition. We only danced to "Rollin'". Don't judge me. I was 17.
Wonder if I'm now too old to get a job at Hot Topic and dance on the counters when this new album drops. Because that is a thing I did when I was 17.
I ALSO LOVE THE INTRO. The theatre kid in me. Swoon.
