Yep, that's Stereogum. You should've seen the way they fucking exploded over that very minor story where Donald Fagen was blogging about his experience at Coachella and basically just said he didn't care for a lot of new artists. The comments just erupted with "OMG HE CRITICIZED MODERN MUSIC HE MUST ONLY LOVE LED

Down-voted, then called "rockist" for expressing any opinion other than fawning, messianic adulation toward Taylor Swift.

Just imagine if this was Stereogum…

See, it's true! White people really do have it the worst!

The Heart of Rock 'N' Roll is still beatin' - in Cleveland!

Yeah, I mean, I know people love to use WA's male characters romancing younger women as irrefutable proof he's a child molester, but I can never understand why people act like this never happens in real life. Lots of the girls I knew in college were all about trying to date older (like, 10+ years) guys. Hell, when we

Pretty sure it's the same bot that posts "Ross the largest Friend" etc to every single article AV Club article that has ever mentioned Friends.

And it always falls to me to again point out that they're actually confusing him with Woodsy Allen.

Eh, I saw it pop a few times in obits for Anthony Mason.

For some reason (I was never a regular L&O viewer) I also distinctly remember watching that Lansbury/Molina episode of TBJ when it aired. The basic message of that episode seemed to be, "if you know anyone with Asperger's, they're probably a serial murderer/rapist."

SKINNNERRRRR!

For whatever reason I have not been streaming this record, so I'm going to hear it in full for the first time later today when I actually go buy it in a store. Can't remember the last time that was the case.

I remember reading someone, I think maybe All Music Guide, call The Great Escape "the inverse of Parklife" and I think that sums it up perfectly - Parklife's songs are largely slices of life about youth and/or the working class (think of "Girls & Boys," "Parklife," "Bank Holiday," "London Loves") and they're so

You ain't fat! You ain't nothing! YOU AIN'T NOTHING!!!

What's different about Jon Hamm though is that he's not a comedian, he's an actor who happens to be great at comedy. If you think about it, he's probably the closest thing we have to a modern-day Leslie Nielsen, where the humor at least partly comes from the contrast between this super-respectable facade and the

I can dig crappin'!

People don't wanna hear songs about things that haven't even been invented yet! They want songs about new inventions!

Wait, are we talking like it's NOT common knowledge that Jerry Minor is awesome? One of the most underrated people in comedy over the last 20 years. Bow down to the greatness of Mighty Joe Jon the Black Blond.

It's alright to cross-dress for Christ!

Eh, I wouldn't call LWTUA "totally unrepresentative." It's a little catchier and more conventionally "pretty" than most JD songs, but all the usual elements are in place. Hook's bass and Morris' drums are actually pretty archetypal JD bass and drum parts, and Curtis' vocals are as brooding as usual. They'd already had
