I propose SCTV's "5 Neat Guys" as the second entry in this series.

In my litany of great moments from this sketch that I listed up above I somehow completely forgot "Warning: Lard." Because that needs a "warning."

This is hands down my favorite Mr. Show sketch ever. Not even close.

@avclub-c2772fe942fe1bdcf0fec5d508dd6e23:disqus  Agreed. EHC gave Crews one of my favorite line readings, during a montage of rhetorical questions designed to convince Chris not to quit school: "What if Katherine Jackson had quit having kids?"

I listen to "Sabotage" so much I forget it wasn't actually on the album. Cannot BELIEVE that was a b-side.

"I Say a Little Prayer"?

Off the top of my head:

This statement would probably mean more if Frank Ocean was actually a rapper.

You sound like a dedicated media consumer.

What @twitter-268965354:disqus said. It's not exactly Rush Limbaugh-level misogyny, but it's still incredibly fucking condescending to women to assume they can't have certain interests based purely on their gender.

I always wondered if there was some sort of metric/kmh-to-mph conversion there that got lost in translation, until I found out that's not true. I just know it seems very out of phase with the song itself. I put that song on when I'm driving and I find myself wanting to do like 90.

I'd go PC&L and Low-life tied at #5, then Siren's Call, then Movement. I love the SOUND of Movement, I just wish Hannett could've produced an album of theirs with more fleshed-out songs. Can you imagine his production on PC&L?

Honestly, aside from "Young Offender" and "Chemical" which are just OK, I think Republic is pretty much perfect. "Everyone Everywhere," "Liar," "Times Change" and "Special" are fantastic sleepers, "World" is cheesy but still one of my faves, "Ruined in a Day" is a masterpiece, and "Regret" is my favorite NO song ever.

I feel like my take about New Order (who are one of my top 5 favorite bands, BTW) are completely the opposite of everyone else's, since the narrative Modell creates here is the same one everyone else follows. My favorite NO albums are Technique, Republic and Get Ready, in that order, and I've never understood the crap

I mean, maybe it's just wishful thinking but this sketch is so un-Portlandia-like in general that I have a hard time believing they'd have something that played as straight as this.

I assume you're talking about "Me and My Bitch," right? It sucks, because that's otherwise such a great song with such awesome details and storytelling, but then right in the middle there's that one incredibly creepy line.

Even if it wasn't satire, nobody ever changes in 27 years, and everyone always has to stand by every single thing they ever did or said when they were 19, so yeah. Assholes all the way.
