I'm onto your game, Heisler

Mike Love is a d-bag, but I've never understood why his cred wasn't boosted by his drunken, pointlessly confrontational, certifiably awesome Rock and Roll Hall of Fame speech. Seriously, it's kind of hard to hate the guy after watching that. And by "hard to hate the guy," I mean "it's completely easy to hate the guy…
It only gets really weird when you realize that this movie also stars John Candy.
Yeah, seriously. Since the video was so dark on my computer I was more or less just listening to the audio, I had zero reason to doubt that it was really Neil Jung.
Even Carlton Banks
has got soul.
Okay, sorry, my bad. I thought it was actually him. My computer monitor isn't very good. I feel that my reaction was appropriate under the circumstances.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
I read this comment too, but I don't want anyone to know that.
I would give my left nut for F.F. Woodycooks "Take Back The Streets" to become a reality.
Reviewing A Very Sunny Christmas would cut into the AVC staff's Countach time.
Some old crank?
Are you telling me you didn't recognize Gladys, the piano player from The Nightman Cometh?
Any Mr. Show cast member getting screen time on any show is fine by me (I'm looking at you, Starburns, Gail the Snail, and Saul the lawyer).
This is a flawed argument, because to if "Kid A is overrated" = "Revolver is overrated," then that seems to be saying that Radiohead are somehow in the same pantheon of music as the Beatles, and that's ludicrous.
@Erik E Erik
It's really just personal preference, but yeah, I think it's better. Two Against Nature has more of a super-sophisticated Aja/Gaucho feel, but Everything Must Go is looser and bluesier, and feels closer to Countdown/Pretzel Logic/Katy Lied era, which is my favorite. Plus, it's freaking Steely Dan.
For me, NHTEOI has the edge not only because it's so ambitious, but because it fulfills those ambitions so splendidly. It uses the usual power pop stuff that Sloan has obviously perfected, but it creates a listening experience that is so unlike anything else in the entire power pop genre, with the possible exception…
You're talking about it like it's Nickelback or something. Seriously, Zeitgeist wasn't a masterpiece or anything, but it had some solid songs and was excellent evocation of a sound that people like me, who miss loud 90s rock, hadn't heard in a long time.
You got me: I listen to music other than Arcade Fire.
Bonnie Prince Billy is obscure? I feel like his stuff is everywhere.
