So how's the whole death thing working out for you?

More likely they just texted. That's probably why they went extinct too. That whole "asteroid-hits-the-earth" bullshit is just want those evil scientists *want* us to believe.
Also tried reading S&B. No luck. I really, really tried but man is that an incoherent, tedious story. What people remember most about "Sylvia and Bruno" (if anything) is "The Mad Gardner's Song" which is more in-line with Carroll's other brilliant works.
I liked "A Wrinkle in Time" when I first read it as a kid. I liked it a bit less when I revisited it as an adult but still found it entertaining. I then tried to read the next book in the series ("A Wind in the Door") but abandoned it after the first few chapters. I forget why exactly but I vaguely remember being…
'The Corpse Bride was a forgettable rehash of The Nightmare Before Christmas right down to the 'bone dog' sidekick and jazz influenced (Oogie Boogie's) underworld. It wasn't a horrible way to spend 90 minutes but it's not something I have any interest in seeing again.
"Ed Wood holds the hell up."
"What's wrong with that?"
I don't know what's more depressing..
..the fact that this show went four(!) seasons or that its current rating on imdb is 6.5.
The man they call Jayne
"… but the genius of Joss Whedon turns him into a goofy, gun-worshipping, misogynist parody"
I concur wholeheartedly.
That "Crystal Skull Vodka" he was shilling for awhile back certainly hasn't helped his legacy either.
This just keeps getting weirder and weirder!
I love both Bill Watterson's work and Gary Larson's work. Both of them are insanely talented. Why do people feel the need to "rank" Larson and Watterson when the focus and style of their work is completely different? Yeah, yeah…I know why…rhetorical question…rant, rant, rant.
O'Brien actually made a joke about having Salinger on his show during his appearance on the Never Not Funny podcast recently (which was recorded before Salinger's death). Perfect timing!
I enjoyed the first couple of seasons and I never quite stopped liking David (who I thought was the most well rounded character in the series), but by the end of its run I was sick of just about everyone on the show. Almost all the characters turned into self-centered, whining caricatures. Maybe I shouldn't have…
Crickets?
Clearly you've never had Little Ceaser's "pizza" before.
It's all part of the insidious anti-Ghostbusters conspiracy here at the AV Club. They'll stop at nothing I tells ya!
The third movie is definitely the best. I would argue that holds true for the books as well.
Always good to get a visit from the UCL. Unless, of course, he's serving you a summons.
