Even that's pretty poor logic.  You're saying that the McDonald's Corporation, who then likely sold a franchise to a local business, which then likely contracted with a general construction company, that then likely subcontracted with a smaller specialty company to build the sign should be responsible if the company

I don't understand how AT&T is directly responsible for the actions of subcontractors who were 3-4 levels away from the general contractor.  That's like saying the CEO of McDonald's is directly responsible if you burn yourself on your cup of coffee.
