Jesus Christ, and even that segment was actually about Schumer's fame. It's really, really, really, really, really, REALLY fascinating, guys..!
Also, she seems to think that her fame "predicament" is waaaaaaay more interesting than it actually is.
Yep, the fact that she lets herself be associated with that little turd is quite off putting.
Yep, I was a huge fan of The Report, but the political stuff on the Late Show is milque toast at best. To me the weirdest thing is that his Late Show persona (which supposedly is pretty much the same as his real life self) feels less genuine than his Report character. Maybe it is because I had a clear filter through…
I don't read it as "how dare he not.." but more as "you used to be so good at this..".
Shut up, Phil.
Oh god, if I hear one more comic complaining about political correctness.. even my beloved Jimmy Pardo is buying into that shit.
Nice. Loved their first album.
I did enjoy the TMZ sketch going off the rails, with Cruella Deville and Dracula turning up. A lot of times, I feel like her sketches don't go far enough, so this was nice.
That interview felt ill judged. I normally enjoy Schumer's light touch in these kind of interviews, but here it felt kind of inappropriate. Especially the bit about the killing of small animals - it doesn't matter whether you dislike the animal in question, that is some seriously disturbing behaviour. Schumer laughing…
Weirdest thing for me was, Lena Dunham pretty much dresses in real life as she does in that sketch.
I missed her Trump "endorsement". I put endorsement in quotes, because everything Banks says on Twitter (or in interviews, for that matter) seems to have the exact same weight, a sort of airless, desperate meaninglessness.
I don't want to see them back together either. I don't even want to watch storylines involving them trying to get back together, or pining for eachother.
It was literally a one joke sketch. The 'reveal' that the contestant was Heidi Cruz was clearly supposed to be something, but it just fell flat.
Thing is, I don't think the joke worked. If there's one thing you can say about the couple of episodes of the new season, is that they have really picked up the pace. Storylines are moving along much quicker than previous seasons.
No stand-in chin? Stand-chin.
I was always slightly disappointed they didn't do more with Greg Pikitis. On the other hand, they also didn't run it into the ground.
It's okay, not great. If you didn't like the first episode, I wouldn't expect you to like the rest.
It seemed a bit overpraised to me - it had some good moments (and some great performances), but just as many hacky moments. I think I like CK's writing on "Louie" a lot more than on "Horace and Pete" - the latter felt a bit too much like him trying desperately to be Louis The Great Dramatist. Overall it just didn't…
