By Peter's suspicions, you're meaning the 'did Neal plan on playing me to get the Marshals' data?' question at the end? I honestly thought that one was pretty organic: Peter knows that Neal wants that data. He knows that he would take it if it were offered. The only reason Peter's trust would matter more to him is if

In fairness, it did have a plot involving garbage this week…

I still don't understand why Natalie Morales didn't appear to be a good actress when she was on this show, because dammit, she is (or was in The Middleman, at least). I think making Diana gay pushed the writers into just making her one of the team, rather than constantly making her vibe with Neal flirty, which I think

It's good that you still care enough to try to warn us away with incomplete sentences, though.

Heh I saw other complaints about the hair gel too. Not the best look on him…

I'm actually quite glad it wasn't Alex, as that would have muddied the waters of Neal's intentions considerably. Neal wouldn't have turned her over at the end, nor would Peter ever have believed he didn't want to help her in the first place. Having Abigail as an outsider (and one with no romantic interest in Neal for

Whee, I really enjoyed this episode. A fun and not too ridiculously complex con! Diana getting things to do! Neal and Peter circling each other again! This is the model of what a mid-season episode should be for this show.

Honestly, if Neal had told Peter at the point he was blackmailed, I think the whole con would have worked out exactly the same way but with the FBI on board. And I think Peter knows that, which is why he gave Neal a way out - he's been encouraging him in stuff like this for years now.

And in fairness, he wasn't really aiding the suits - he was helping Neal get out of blackmail and assisting him in pulling off a heist without the FBI's knowledge. Perfect Moz territory, really.

Yeah, I definitely agree with that. And I love the idea of having a conscious frame of reference entirely free of the speaker's subjective positioning… that's really cool. (Wonder if it would solve the people who get left/right confused or just mean they got east/west confused instead.)
