I really don't like TGiQ and generally pretend to prefer it doesn't exist. But the placement is definitely part of that. If it was somewhere in the first half of the season, in amongst other entertaining goofiness, I still don't think I'd like it but I might think of it with the low-level dislike I do of Why We Fight,

That would be brilliant. And yes, the echo of his fapping when any housemaid walked by can be heard down the centuries…

Have to admit, much as there are a few Shakespeare plays I love to death, I'm totally with Pepys on Midsummer Night's Dream. This would especially be the case if I'd had no idea what it was before walking into it.

I'd love to know what the staging looked like, since it doesn't sound like it should be particularly complex. Painted trees maybe? Fake sheep? Real sheep?

The thing is, though, I am really not an action movie person and found plenty to love in Avengers. The battle scenes themselves - yeah, cool I suppose, executed with a bit of pizazz, but take them out and I'd still be fangirling over the Stark/Banner science love-in until the cows come home.

@avclub-da496e2db2e50a068b4ae5549d4ae1b0:disqus I accept that (though as a non-Hollywood person who just took a year out of life for my own reasons and have accepted that means I'm off the nice corporate career salary increase track now, I still don't think that entirely rules out the possibility) - but it just didn't

Seems a bit odd though seeing as how he was almost saying they'd continue making the show in his backyard if they got cancelled. He seems to have a pretty big investment (er… not of the money type) in it.

Okay, so there's really no point rambling at length since I'm so late watching this, but everyone I know elsewhere who watches this show is even further behind than me and I want to ramble dammit! So here goes…

I read it. I'm late too. Yay late people.

Agreed, I think Veronica Mars is actually better for being an uncertain finale (they had to know there was a good chance they'd be cancelled) - I felt it summed up the show better than I'd expected while still leaving the world carrying on without us.

…but I have neither any Spice Girls records nor a Gay Best Friend. I'm such a failure.

I am not! I had that last week. And I'm hopefully still at least a decade off the menopause, so I have no excuse whatsoever. Maybe it's because I haven't eaten any chocolate today.

Calvinball for me please.

Nicely sarky article, but apparently I'm in a mood (probably hormones) and so have just become depressed about the state of it all.

…I've never heard of it, and I live in the UK. So that's a good sign.

Oh he's absolutely a troll, but he definitely believes in his politics too - you couldn't keep a troll act up that long without getting really bored.

I always felt Faith was a better character fit on Angel than she was on Buffy (well, after s3 anyway). It's kind of a shame she didn't get to stick around, but on the other hand it's kind of cool she ever came across in the first place. So I'm just happy with the episodes she gets, because they're pretty much all

I think I'm still hanging on because I basically still believe he's a decent guy. Anything he tweets about Firefly, or the cast - people he actually knows and has worked with - is human and sometimes quite nice. It's only when it comes to an acceptable way to conduct political argument that he has some major

Ah, I see. Oh, it's just so perfect that she comes back and that stuff is going right for someone somewhere who was vaguely helped in the past by things our pseudo-heroes did even if they weren't great at helping and now she's off on her own and things are still kind of going okay and… yeah, okay, now I'm starting to
