Oh, and the ending is going to be a hugely subjective thing. Most people who've seen it seem to love the balls-out craziness of it, but for some people it is the final step too far that destroys their suspension of disbelief. Unfortunately I don't think you're going to know which one you are until you've seen it. I'd

…yes.

I'm definitely a bit more interested in the Evil Dead films than I was this time last week, that's for sure…

Also true, yes. Plus on Buffy it would have necessitated a load of soul-searching about did they really do the right thing by triggering all the Slayers, whereas here we are left to wonder that ourselves without having to watch them wring their hands over it.

Saw Cabin on Wednesday at a free advance screening, so feeling a little bad at not contributing any cashy money (and I don't have friends here who I could go with to see it again), so I'll definitely go to Avengers even though I haven't seen any of the movies leading up to it.

Oh yeah… I knew I was forgetting something there but was feeling too lazy to go look it up. Yeah, she's screwed in that scenario, and I can see the Council breaking her even further in an attempt to control her.

I remember just being really surprised that the show would allow any of its characters to spend a day being happy at this stage. For that reason alone, I kind of didn't hate it. (I also liked being reminded that Logan could be kind of carefree and charming when not second-guessing Veronica's emotions at every moment.)

I always thought there was no freaking way that Veronica would manage to stay with the FBI even if she got accepted somehow, so the whole thing felt kind of moot to me. Wouldn't the suspicions against her in Duncan's case also be on file somewhere that they might pop up against her name?

I love his face when he tries tasting a penny. Hah.

It's not my absolute least favourite season (it sits about equal with 1), but I'm on board with it not being the Greatest Thing Ever as a lot of people here seem to think. But the moments where some emotional reality peek through (such as here with Spike and Angel) are definitely what make me forgive the cheesier

I saw Cordy's appearance as her knowing she only she had one day and choosing to just enjoy the hell out of it. Hairdo, manicure, feeling some appreciation from Angel for the low-cut shirts, etc…

I wonder what would have happened to Faith if Buffy (and then Kendra) really had died and she'd been the one and only Slayer. With Gwendolen Post as her first Watcher, and Wesley as her second.

Yeah, that's the first I'd heard of this too. I am so there.

I definitely think Faith delivering the brush-off would have been excellent, but possibly a little too powerful coming from her rather than from Andrew. She would react to W&H much as Cordelia does, and she'd probably even feel let down by the guy who helped her find a path to redemption apparently choosing something

Yeah, Cordelia's development completely worked for me, even though I found her s3 self kind of boring. (Her s4 self I fanwank away with Jasmine influence and pretend it's not really her at all.)

I really enjoy Damage, too. Much as Noel says he feels it's retreading a lot of ground, this is the first time that I feel Angel and Spike's history as evil monsters actually connects them, rather than leading them into yet more conflict. ("I was the worse demon! I have more to atone for!") Their little moment of

Oh, I'm confused. *checks whedonesque as they are bound to know chapter and verse on this* yes indeed. The first delay seems to have been MGM just not wanting to put it up against strong competition (Saw VI maybe?), and then there was the 3D conversion, and then the MGM bankruptcy, and then…

He actually gets credited, hilariously. Did he have any dialogue?

Hmm, I saw Pan's Labyrinth on a plane and don't even remember that bit. But the violence here mostly isn't meant to be disturbing, other than in how we're not disturbed by it. But that's different. :)

A screencap of the whiteboard has to pop up somewhere soon now that it's on general release, right? Please?
