I also like the Grateful Dead telling Warner Bros. that their 71 live album was going to be called "Skull Fuck". Its just called "Grateful Dead" because of that..

yes but his career was ruined by that Pharisees fan who said he rode her donkey to town when she was too young to consent to donkey rides.
Get that God-Man on a Dinosaur & I will hang the pic on my mantle.
Guilt by association? (They're touring together)
Shhhh - they're touring with Conor Oberst right Now!
A girl I knew from High School "Went off the deep end" and would claim (among other outlandish stories) that she was raped by Prince Charles and the Evil Nuns. As far as I know, her claims were never investigated at all….
Reminds me of the "Mike of Phish molested a girl" stories. Seems to be just a misunderstanding but people who hate Phish just love to drag it out and believe its true with all their wishful heart.
Yes but Whip-It was the definition of Punk to Mom's everywhere at the time. The song was accessible to the masses & defined Punk for those who otherwise could give a damn.
Even Bob Weir said that the biggest problem he had with Deadheads was that they only listened to the Grateful Dead.
I worked at Arbys after High School. I do not eat Arbys.
Sure you can be pedantic but I think the point that Louis was trying to make is that many great things in the world have a background in Horror.
Laws & the Media….. I was at a "spontaneous rock show" in California in the 80's and watched cops go crazy and beat kids with billy clubs. They got away with it and the next day it was reported in the local paper as "Rock throwing party goers attack police".
Sheer Heart Attack is the first great Queen album. I wish the Queen camp would release some live stuff from this era - songs like Ogre Battle are a thing of wonder live.
Taylor hits most of those high notes in the harmonies.
Iv'e had better luck by staying away from Greatest Hits albums and instead looking for consensus on what a certain bands "Best" album is and then buying that. This has just worked well with Humble Pie (Shine On).
If you weren't alive back then you may not realize that Queen was practically a Metal band in its early days - especially live. I used to have a bootleg from a '74 concert and they were very "heavy". They had lighter stuff on the albums but the live show was about knocking your socks off. Even their first "official"…
Waters sings all through Pink Floyd - Shine On, Brain Damage (He even sings one on the Barrett heavy Pipers…) but his vocals did get more strident over the years.
Maybe it's because I was in my formative years at the time but I still consider the 80's the golden years of Independent music. Yeah, they were off the grid for the most part but these were the bands that influenced everything decent that came out in the 90's.
Nice - the Trolls on that Facebook page remind me of the Westboro Baptist Church members. Can't wait to tell us why the recently departed was a bad person & why we are wrong for caring.
Tommy Lee looks like he has Down Syndrome in that picture…
