I kind of get what he's saying though about how surrealism is in the eye of the beholder. I really like VALERIE AND HER WEEK… but Louis Malle's BLACK MOON just leaves me cold, but it's hard to put a finger on what's so much better about the construction of the first film over the other, making it just a matter of

This is the second review of this box set I've read this week where THE HOUSEMAID is trumpeted as one of the best films of the set, and I thought it was easily the worst. Meanwhile, A RIVER CALLED TITAS and DRY SUMMER hit me as masterpieces. TOUKI BOUKI is awesome. TRANCES is tremendously enjoyable. REDES is

Sorely (ha ha) missing:
"I Love It When You Call Me Names" by Joan Armatrading

There's a really great new cover of "Paradise By The Dashboard Light" split into four pieces and covered by 4 different bands.

After chasing sunsets, one of life's simple joys is playing with the boys!

Epidemic for sure. Even despite that damn graphic in the corner of the screen for most of the movie.

Not sure which von Trier I like best
Element of Crime or Epidemic?

When I think of Japan, the first thing that comes to mind is "batshit game shows" and samurai movies.

3rd Prize:
Er… yeah… the song you are referring to is "You're Breaking My Heart" by Harry Nilsson. He had a song about Coconuts and limes, not Pina Coladas.

Alphabetical by artist:

POULTRYGEIST is really effing great. A little long, but frankly most Troma flicks are.
