I LOVED him on Wait Wait Don't Tell Me recently. Sigh.

What kind of crossword has current facts about political figures in it? Are you sure you're not thinking of Jeopardy?

I have always wished they would try it, just for one week! Savage Love kind of sucks lately though. It's all politics (not that there's anything wrong with that, inherently) and almost no freaks anymore. I kind of think it put itself out of business by helping to create a more open and welcoming culture toward

Yeah I hate this shit. I love the AV Club but this is a depressing turn. It's less fun. I'm not as obsessed with free speech, fighting internet censorship etc. as most others of my demographic but I have praised the AV Club up and down on other websites for how open and generally smart it is. I've always valued its

Oh my god, that is such a great party idea. You have a really cool kid. I didn't know that Rikki-Tikki-Tavi still had such cultural currency. It was my dad's favorite story when *he* was a kid so he told it to me a lot when I was growing up.

Carlos is in my top ten favorite movies ever. I've seen it three times in the last year even given how long it is. The soundtrack is one of the best parts. I think about it all the time. I also desperately wish I had all of Magdalena Kopp's cothes.

I love Russian Ark. It's so mysterious and wonderful. It's technically stunning, of course, but even apart from that the whole idea behind the film is so enigmatic and compelling. I still don't really feel like I quite know what it all means, especially the ending.

I liked it a lot. I started out finding Madeleine really insufferable (and I wasn't a big fan by the end of the book either) but I loved Mitchell. I almost never think this about books but I really wish it had had an epilogue so we can know how they all turned out.
