Have you guys seen Time of the Gypsies? @Scrawler2:disqus's comment brought to mind that it actually has a LOT of similar themes to Looper. (Selling your children, vowing not to do the same things to the next generation then doing it anyway, telekinesis, demimondes, blah blah blah.) I wonder if Rian Johnson has seen

I think your wife would not like it.

Is it just me or does she look REALLY young in this? I mean, it's not like she looks old usually, but she looked particularly young here, to me. (Actually, I just checked and am surprised she is only 29 - I thought she was older, I guess because she played a couple roles where the character was older than she was in

I think that the ending works really well. For example, it leaves unresolved the question of if Mr. Bebe is lurking in the hotel for them (because

There's not all that much sex in it though. It's pretty chaste. In a wonderful way.

It's true that all art is simply representation which, for the most part, we appreciate in that it is the index for the real experiences it evokes the idea of. But ultimately, everything is representation and our world is populated by indices. As soon as we have an experience it turns into "its" own index.

Oh yeah. Lust, Caution is fantastic and a great example of the intersection between sex and violence. That was when I realized what the difference between R and NC-17 was (different positions). I cannot believe that the actress who plays the main character has never been in another "big" (or international) film as I
