I feel like a lot of people who used to comment here a lot channeled their "talking to people who share their interests" energies into Twitter and thus phased out here quite a bit. Last year Twitter was really hopping. This year, quieter. Ugh, twitter measured in years. Ugh.

Leonard Pierce, I'm intrigued to hear what comes after the comma. And/or was that a Freudian typo?

Miller, was that a typo or are you guys actually called that? If so, awesome. I grew up in Wellesley. Get on twitter and be invited to the next throw down.

Hey, I've met more of you chuckleheads than anyone else (cf. "oddly high concentration in Greater Boston area"). But I'm moving to Austin at the end of the summer, so meetup there sounds great too, if only so that I can really lock down my ATH.

Thanks guys!

This was a baller interview. I liked the 9/11 joke.

I heard "Turn Out The Lights" come on in the liquor store the other day. It was weird. I haven't heard that on the radio in forever.

Hey, I have a bunch of individual Redman songs from compilations and stuff and love him but no full albums. Which Redman album(s) should I request from the library/start with?

I really, really love Shakira. Everyone already expressed the nature of her unique charms quite well. I think she's even hotter now than in that video though. I am continually impressed by how she's really short yet looks perfectly proportionate, so when she's by herself in pictures you can't tell that she's not

We never saw Jesse using that much in the first two seasons. It was clear that he used fairly frequently, but he never had addiction related conflicts in his life. He cooked with Badger once and wouldn't let Badger try it (mimicking Walt's professionalism). He mostly got high in moments of great anxiety or depression.

I agree wholeheartedly. These aren't bad reviews but I'm always more interested in the discussions in the comments than the reviews, which, as you said, are more like summaries annotated with straightforward explanations (which fans of the show don't really need) or speculation about characters' motivation.

Agreed.

I hate this dialogue of Jesse as irremediable drug addict. Jesse was always more of a cook than a methhead. He went to rehab much more because he had to get away from the horrible scene of Jane's death than because of the necessity of curbing his use of drugs. He was only doing heroin because Jane liked it. You don't

Maybe Gus Fring keeps Walt around because he's so reliable. You know? I think he sees himself in Walt. I agree that concerns about how pure the meth is are probably somewhat overblown. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think the price for a teenth should probably be more like in somewhere between 100 or 200. I'm hard

It's impressive how fast they turned around our extra warm fuzzy feelings toward Gus from last week (I really liked his sweater) to him being a total cold-hearted authoritarian this week. I was really not liking him.

Lady and the Tramp is a stone cold classic. I found its inclusion here heartwarming.

Saw them in Chicago in November. I really liked it. I wished they had played Wave of Mutilation UK Surf version in the encore but whatever, Doolittle is my favorite album in the world. I think they played Vamos and Isla de Encanta in the encore, which was great (I think I went on Friday, does anyone else remember?).

God, no wonder kids these days have ADHD. I feel totally assaulted by this un-processable stream of images, watching that commercial.

To be fair, it's not like anyone is going to the salt mines and hacking out basslines to for M.I.A at human-rights violating sub living wages. If she's just, like, standing behind someone at a computer, I don't think that makes that much of a difference.

Awesome!
I would have mentioned Tearz and Protect Ya Neck among Enter the 36 Chambers highlights, but whatever.
