I agree. I grew up on these films. When the Monster tosses the little girl in the water because he saw her do so with the flowers - pretty things float - I was weeping as a kid. Bittersweet.

Go Shorty, it's ya birhtday…

Dorothy Parker is one brassy broad.

Not a fan of Own Meaney. And I'll remain sitting quietly in the corner, thank you.

This line:

Way of the Gun has far more in common with a Western than Tarantino. And I loved the score. Del Toro (one of my favorite actors) did bring his individual strangeness to the role but he was so damned cool.

Iron Giant would be a great choice. I've watched it many times with my son (who loves it) and I have to say it hasn't gotten too old for me either.

Counting the days until this one. Love Way of the Gun.

Of course it's facetious. Just riffing off of it is all.

I don't know that Dreamworks or Pixar would ever fall under the category of Cult. Perhaps 3rd graders have their own definition of the term. I hear 'The Last Unicorn' has a quiet following amongst the juice box set.

The Many Shades of Geekery
I'm really starting to dig this feature. There are geeks and geeks and geeks.

Animation Month!
I must admit I've never seen Femme Fatale, even heard of it, and I consider myself pretty well schooled. It certainly has made my list.

Burl is the king of Candy Land.

That lazy eye is freakin' me the fuck out!!

"Dat bird's starin' at me!"

They had their moment but I tend to agree. Pretty heavy handed. I do like Shrek though - very much. And I loved the old SNL skits Myers was featured in - a medium to which his talents are probably best suited.

Burl is enthusiasctic.

Wayne Manor

Myers has nailed it right though. Coffee talk, Simon, Sprockets, etc. This guy had me laughing and laughing when he was on SNL.

I am a Luddite
And I refuse to get a damned IPhone. Life's complicated enough without my trying to fill in every minute of every day with some App or another. Seems a bit OCD to me.
