Just a little nitpick: "aimer beaucoup" in French actually means that you like something less than if you just "aime" something. The beaucoup is a qualifier to show that you liked something well enough but you didn't love it. So that ranking system isn't as skewed as that description makes it sound.

Ok, I love Nashville, but I don't think anybody would consider it "critically beloved," bar its first season when people still had hope.

Co-sign about courting "alternative" markets. I will admit that 100% of the reason I originally started playing Dragon Age is because I found out that I could play a character with a same-sex romance—and tapping into that kind of game exposed me to all sorts of other games that I would have never known about if it

I haven't seen either one of those, but I'll take your word for it. I don't think HMC is terrible, just a disappointment for me as a huge Ghibli AND Diana Wynne Jones fan.

The saddest thing about the massive plot issues in HMC is that it's adapted from a novel with an extremely tight plot, one that carefully puts all of its pieces in play and then wraps up with an extremely satisfying and unexpected solution to its central mystery. I love the book so much and I have tried to love the

Will she be the first black woman in the MCU? I'm trying to remember if there are any others that I've just forgotten about.

I love the completely unnecessary condescension coming out of that opening paragraph. Thanks, Kyle! I'm glad you had so much fun in college!

The article addresses that argument, lucky for you!

My Periscope campaign will be starting up any day now!

Can we have a gay princess but not have it be Elsa because I, personally, think that Frozen is mediocre-to-bad?

I will NEVER stop. I will never stop until the gay agenda subsumes all children and drags them to hell right along with me.

I hate the Fade so goddamn much, which is a pity, because I actually love Broken Circle other than that. The sounds of screaming mages and templars while you run around the fucked up Circle Tower are so atmospheric!

Why are people still asking Gene Simmons for his opinion on anything? Why did anybody ever ask Gene Simmons for his opinion on anything?

I hope this leads to a boycott where all of my shittiest family members and acquaintances refuse to keep using Facebook.

It one hundred percent makes sense that this is fake, because who on earth gives enough of a shit about YACHT to want to leak their sex tape in the first place?

This is, indeed, something that grates on me like nails on a chalkboard. Every single one of these actors has presumably held a coffee cup full of coffee before. Don't you remember what basic laws of physics feel like? Gilmore Girls is an obvious offender, but the people of Friends should also be steeply fined for

This is one of the best possible outcomes, honestly.

I am Team Cap in general, though I tend to be on Iron Man's side regarding the central conflict in Civil War (I say this as somebody who hasn't seen the movie yet so maybe Cap's in-universe justifications are better than what I've been hearing).

I tried to resist the beauty of that picture but I could not. Damn you, Stan. Damn you.

Cap has to radiate fundamental pure decency without being a complete slog to watch. That's real hard. There's a reason why shitty movies, like the worst of the Dreamworks animation slate, choose to fall back on the "sarcastic jerk with a heart of gold" trope. It's a lot easier!
