True Blood season 2 is genuinely enjoyable and a significant improvement over season 1. Season 3 has its worthy moments and I would say it's worth watching if season 2 really works for you. Everything after that is garbage (I watched every episode).

Anna Camp was definitely an integral part of what was possibly True Blood's only good season (season 2). Sarah Newlin ended up getting character assassinated down the line like every single other person on that show, but at its high point she was glorious.

I was a little disappointed when the AVC's pre-air review (which covered I believe the first six episodes?) said that Kimmy's trauma had been pushed to the wayside, because I spent all of s1 hoping that Kimmy's emotional issues would be addressed. But this episode (and later ones down the line) did it so perfectly.

Are both of the Hulk movies we got in the 2000s seriously flawed? Absolutely. But I'd like to see a version of the MCU where we got some Hulk sequel movies and Bruce Banner had the same shaping force over the franchise as Thor/Iron Man/Cap.

I didn't love the Golden Compass but I would have loved to see some of the things from the Subtle Knife visualized with a big movie budget. Give me Cittagazze, dammit!

If I could own Can of Worms on Blu-Ray I would buy it in a heartbeat.

I am one hundred percent aware that I am (maybe overly) sensitive to Dong's portrayal because I myself am Vietnamese, but oh well. I still like the show and I still like him and Kimmy as a couple, I've just got some issues with it.

I don't blame anyone for not being bothered by Dong, but for me personally, everything about his character was a combination of every lazy stereotype there is about Asian people without any self-reflection that would have made me think it was even remotely intentional rather than just a hodgepodge of what little the

He can be both Kimmy through a different lens and have the majority of his humor derived from Asian accents being funny, and Asian culture being weird and repressive and funny (is the Friends joke funny? Absolutely. But it's still derived from a conception of Vietnam that basically views the entirety of Asia as

I found it interesting that they chose to make an Asian-American rights group the subject of the show's ire when IMO Dong's portrayal last season was much more offensive (as it were) than Jacqueline's. At least with Jacqueline there's a metatextual joke about the cognitive dissonance. The joke with Dong was "haha,

Refusing to vote unless Bernie is the nominee absolutely makes my existence more precarious.

I'm a WOC (API, not Black) and I hear this shit all the time. "Oh, if you really knew what was good for you, you'd feel the Bern already." Um…no. What I feel is that I already live an extraordinarily precarious existence on the best of days and I'm really not looking to dig my heels in and bring in a candidate that

Yikes.

Then you should probably understand why telling Black people that they're worthless unless they agree with your ideology is a fucking racist-ass bullshit thing to say.

Jessica, honest question, are you a POC?

Transformers 2 is hands down the most unpleasant movie-going experience I've ever had in my life, and I'm counting in that assessment the time I had to run out of Cloverfield and throw up because it made me so motion sick.

Caring about anything is indeed a fruitless task that just makes you sad. That's the world we live in. We can either choose to not exist in that world any longer (which I would not advocate for), or we can grasp what little power we have instead of throwing it away into the ether in the hopes that taking an ethical

The administrations of the Roosevelts and LBJ existed under completely different coalition political states and demographic Americas than exist now—if you're going to get mad about people comparing Bernie to McGovern, please don't compare today's political state to presidents that are even MORE far in the past. Why won't Hillary Clinton cure my mental illness? Evil bitch better fix me before I let her into office!!!

But social media changes EVERYTHING! That's why Bernie's totally winning in the delegate count AS WE SPEAK!
