I bet Roy will lose a hand in taking out Deathstroke - http://en.wikipedia.org/wik…
Even though she was only in it for like, 5 seconds, Lizzy Caplan's appearance was the highlight of the night for me.
What would your advice be to counter the exhaustion problem? Being in a similar situation myself to the solution that you say Tony Gilroy suggested, I can't seem to find a way to ameliorate the exhaustion - the mind-numbing nature of my job is so unbelievably taxing that I pull a Hannah and collapse into beautiful…
Hey @ToddVanDerWerff, I'm super late to the party, but I'd just like to say thank you for writing this particular segment -
Not sure if I heard correctly, but did Rachel say that Mikey fired three shots before she cleared her holster?
The lawyer considering Tom's offer to shit in Fonz Ralphio's car was some grade A yes-and, - I think a lot of shows would take that joke in a different direction (like him just flat out saying no to Tom's offer), but it's so much funnier and fun to see such a straight-laced person genuinely consider the proposal.
That was, without a doubt, the best episode of Arrow to date. So much incredible, comic-book-fangasm fodder that didn’t bubble over into gratuitous territory, while also keeping character development well in focus - I particularly like that the show is fleshing out Oliver’s fractured psyche even further.
Really loved this episode, and the scene between Lillian and Virginia on the bus was absolutely riveting.
That was far and away the best AoS episode to date, and I
would argue that it’s the first episode where I felt like the stakes were real
and the characters weren’t just quip machines.
Ollie replying "You see how hard I work out" to Diggle's little speech about secrets was so bizzare and obviously weird that it has to have been an in-joke with the writers, right?
I'm just excited for the hardening of Oliver! Sorry.
While I agree that having the Dollmaker as this episode's villain seemed out of place, I think it was an interesting excursion for the show to take.
I think the most glaring example was when Skye was searching for hot hacker - Coulson asked what was going on, and FitzSimmons said something vaguely like "Skye found the infected trojan and used a TCP to to find the hypertext", which makes no sense at all.
I think that Kenny cradling Yul the Robot is an example of a perfect visual gag: it comes out of nowhere, and it asks the viewer to question: why Kenny is cradling a robot? Oh, Kenny has clearly formed a bizarre relationship with this inanimate object that is tantamount to a father and a newborn child.

I agree wholeheartedly with everything you've said, and I really like that description of Walt up top.

So what's the consensus on Amy Poehler, vis-a-vis attractiveness, around here?
I really love the combination of Jeselnik/Mulaney/Kroll - Mulaney has such a big reputation of being a very tame, clean comic, so it's always a joy to see him go toe-to-toe with a darker comic like Jeselnik and show how quick he can be.
