I understand the point about the timing of Patty filing. However, I think it probably took Ellen a few hours to get to the High Star complex and maybe Patty didn't care if Ellen got Chris. I know she's not that callous but maybe she wanted to make a point to Ellen "I can do what you can't to win a case."

I agree with you regarding Ellen and Chris. I thought Ellen and Wes had potential, but I don't know if I was just bamboozled over Timothy Olyphant. However, Chris and Ellen can become something real and I think it makes sense that it happens to Ellen now since I don't believe she was ready for a real relationship

drdang, I would agree with you about Patty allowing Ellen to get the credit would have been a motherly and selfless gesture if it wasn't for the fact that we know Patty seriously does not respect Ellen as an attorney. Remember in the therapist office where she basically said "she's good but not a force…I'm not

I loved this episode and am surprised you "only" gave it an "A-" when I thought it would have gotten at least an "A".

I guess it's my (and IMO Rose Bryne's) interpretation that makes Ellen a little emotionless. She's still haunted by the events of season 1 (despite going to group therapy) and I think it seriously hardened up her character. We haven't seen Ellen really excited or show a range of emotions the way she did in season 1

It's funny how we disagree regarding Rose Byrne. I thought she was great, but serviceable in season 1. However, I thought she absolutely shined in season 2 with the revenge and dark story arc. However, I felt she was quieter in season 3 and more on par with the way she was in season 1 except she didn't have the luxury

It's absolutely worth it. Season 2 and 3 may not have reached the heights of season 1, but there are amazing revelations and downright fantastic storytelling. Also, not only do you continue to see Glenn Close's masterful acting and supporting and guest players holding their own, but you have the pleasure of seeing
