The differences in office culture at SCDP were fascinating. The take-out coffee culture beginning, the new clutter of office machines, etc. The whole walk-through was almost nauseatingly chaotic and day-glo, such a palpable change from the elegance and rigidity of the mid-60s.

Because how else would they have an excuse to show us bearded Abe in all his Ringo-Starr glory?

Actually, I think he was TOO believable. He played drunk-drunk, not comedy drunk.

It's not just commitment—she's really good at it. She has great physicality and uses her body with precision (You can see it in her dance moves in the Ham sketch). Of course, physical comedy isn't for everyone, but she's really great at it nonetheless.

I truly love Spice World and really wanted them to come into the
podcast and be like, "yeah, this movie is ridiculous, but it's so much
crazy fun". I'm totally biased, but I wish they'd been more willing to be in on the joke.

God, now I want a "Clue" themed episode with Tim Curry and Leslie Ann Warren as guest judges. Make it happen, Ru!!

I think the same can be said of Boyd, though—just different people. Part of what makes them great foils is that they're both inherently charismatic, but ultimately deeply selfish, men. They can raise armies, but never join anyone else's ranks.

"You'll Never Leave Harlan Alive". The song (though a different version) ended the first season, too.

I think he'll make Johnny take the fall—penance for what he did. Ava claims she was moving the bodies and takes a few months. Cousin Johnny gets life and responsibility for running the prison side of Boyd's business.

It's hard to believe that Boyd wasn't intended to be a central character. The relationship of the characters, the chemistry of the actors, and the cohesiveness of them as foils is the lifeblood of the series.

Perfect casting.

I kind of love the cartoonish staging. The whole show is just as camp as can be, with this beautiful ballad stuck in the middle (honestly, it may be my favorite show tune)—without the camp staging, it might stand out like an earnest sore thumb in the production.

Agreed! All these anti-Dodgers people are surprisingly bitter for fans of teams that have won multiple recent championships! The Dodgers haven't even been to a World Series since 1988—even your Rockies have us beat on that count.

IT WAS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!! He's gonna EARN that $300 million

I suggest the MLB app—play by play descriptions so you can follow the game for free even when your friends insist on socializing with you.

Dodgers Dodgers Dodgers! Beat the Giants!! (but not literally, we really don't want to have to go through that again)

Baseball isn't *sports*. It's BASEBALL. Part poetry, part math, part drama, part philosophy of life, super sexy and 100% goddamn American.

@avclub-33807fbc68d335db8080d3c10cb78822:disqus Well, at this point at least we have years of practice with playoff disappointment.

2013, the year of the Dodgers!!! (It better be—we've spent enough)

Yep. 100%.
