Only if they're floor-length. Anything less than tea-length is a stubbifying nightmare when you add an empire waist.

I thought of Jiro while reading this, too. It seems to me that there are certain documentary projects that justify the visual (which I think is what "movie-ness" amounts to, right?) aspect of the project. Profiles in particular do. What you might learn in a magazine article or podcast about a single person (presuming…
Empire waists are a devil's game. Even if your body type might work for it, if the waist is 2 cm too high or 2 cm too low, the result is disaster
Yep. But at least Gilmore Girls and Pushing Daisies share a fair amount of DNA—at least, both give me the fabulous and enviable small town setting fix that I'm jonesin' for.
@avclub-2d1a8576a32b4278fdaa86ddd9341276:disqus I have few illusions about me being anything other than boring, so I won't fight you on that point.
Kind of, in that I think I would get it more if I were reading it for a class or with a 'guide to', but also no, because even without that, I understand and enjoy the basic plot and characters.
You should join our book club! We started it last month. It's so much fun to read, but I just keep feeling like I should be "getting it" much more deeply than I do.
Sea Change is a big downerfest (in @avclub-c45140ecbba80b5ddbbbafa7ec713b46:disqus's words), but it also has a very consistent vision. It's exactly what it says it is, a total shift in his style, but executed expertly and purposefully all the way through. It's a complete whole, not just a collection of single songs.
Took me a while to come around on this one, too. I ended up liking it only after a college obsession with Of Montreal, which is the wrong order completely.
Basically, those kids discovered the bag and then everyone who thought Drew was dead realized he was alive, which kicked off the search.
Frasier is also a treasure trove of one-line jokes, like the "Sharkbait O'Reilly" thing mentioned in the Stray Observations.
Not exactly right, though it's come to sort of mean that. Single-camera essentially just means it's not live. This frees up the show to do things like film on location, have more quick cuts or really short scenes, etc.
I miss him on tv, but I adore him on stage. He has such innate theatricality, even when he's onscreen, so it's a perfect fit.
That is probably the most memorable scene of television I've ever watched.
Not a complete list without California Stars and Poor Places.
Yeah, Tim's friend already knew who Colt was when Colt found him. The text must have been sent while Colt was busy murdering the dealer.
The walking and leaning on this show is TOP-NOTCH.
@yahoo-XA4RDSRSUX3XRSCPRR7XNGSPUQ:disqus A million kudos to you for not only guessing Drew Thompson's identity, but also that it'd be wrapped up in the Henry Crowder business. You might have a future in the Marshals service.
I feel like I say this every week, but again: the only problem with this episode was that it was only an hour long.
Lemon tarts sound amazing. You go, @avclub-d7d1e0309597c93cda923d6b631281cc:disqus
