The first season isn't great. The pilot is solid and the resolution of those events is good, but the mid-season episodes between killing Krazy 8 and meeting Tuco drag quite a bit. I recently rewatched the first season and found myself getting really impatient with those episodes.

I thought 5a was a little lacking, but 5b has been fantastic

I might put 3 at the top, if only for containing the single most holy-shit jaw-on-the-floor scene in the show's run (Hank vs. the Cousins), but otherwise I agree.

Maybe the series finale will just be a backdoor pilot for "Better Call Saul"

"Lunacy" implies that we may see the return of goofy-sarcastic slightly-manic smirking Bill Murray. If so, I'm on board 100%. He's been playing quiet melancholy characters for too long. In a lot of good movies, of course, and he's been quite good in them, but I want to see Bill Murray enjoying life dammit.
