I had that thought. I really, really hope they don't go there. Paul Kinsey, Bobby Beausoleil's good pal.

Ha, I thought of that episode, as well. :-)

I'm just looking at it the way the show seems to be saying Don looks at it, and giving a possible reason why. Everyone seems to be saying it's pure selfishness for Don to be upset and/or to feel betrayed, but I think there's more to it: He was intrigued by her, and I believe her stated interest in and ambition in…

Why wouldn't Don be especially resentful of Megan's attitude toward advertising, when she LIED to him the first time they slept together and told him she thought advertising was fascinating and she wanted to learn all about it and have a real career in it?

That's the way I heard it. But I was actually a tad annoyed at Megan for it, too; not that she didn't have a right to be irritated that Betty had apparently just walked right in and seen her shirtless (because she did), but, you know, when you're aware that anyone in the living room can see into your bedroom if you…
Ditto, ditto, and ditto. :-)
I don't get why people hate January Jones so much. I don't think she's a bad actress at all; I think she portrays Betty pretty well, I mean, that's how Betty is supposed to be. She wouldn't have been cast if her performance wasn't what Weiner wanted, you know? I agree that moment was fantastic.
HA!
Spin-off! SPIN-OFF!!
What's funny is that when I was a bartender I made martinis the "traditional" way; about a 1:3 ratio of vermouth to gin/vodka. I was consistently told that I made the best martinis the drinker in question had ever had/had in a while.
However, I disagree that in this context Beth and Betty are confusing.
We novelists do the same; we try to avoid even giving characters the same first initial, unless there's a specific reason for it. It can be confusing for the reader, more so than in TV, because in books there's no face with the name, and because of the way the human eye sees words (focus on first and last letter).
