It's sloppy, The review could have made the same point, but hidden the spoiler with a more vague description behind a link to that episode instead of blatantly calling it out. So people would still get the reference, but those who don't want to get spoiled can avoid it.

Not everyone watches it live, this season just ended and hasn't been released to DVD/Blu-ray yet. Can't expect everyone to watch everything within months of release

I agree, it's not that the mystery is bad, it is just lacking compared to the greater story and isn't the core of the show. I feel the mystery brought people to the show, but everything outside of that is what at least I am enjoying more. I'm sure others agree.

Telling me Vin Diesel and Paul Walker are going to show up soon?

The writers hit it out of the park with that episode title and Vogel's quote from the dinner party.
