I've spent so many season now, worried about Walter losing Peter but never thinking as much about what happens to Peter if he loses his dad. This episode, where he said to Nina, "So, whatever happens, I lose him," made me realize my oversight. The series has so much been about fathers trying to hang on to sons that

I had to laugh, though, when she stuck her gun in the back of her pj's. I thought, "Wow, those pajama bottoms must have a mother of an elastic waistband!" Pretty sure that something as weighty as that gun would actually just fall right through one of the leg holes, hit the floor, and likely shoot her in the ass. But

On first glance, I thought you said, "flatulent Spanish speaker."

In the immortal words of Richard B. Riddick, they did not know who they were fucking with.

After the episode ended, I was thinking about that scene when Olivia watches the loyalists scraping off the resistance posters of Etta. Since we've been seeing those proliferating mysteriously since her death - and with some speculation that it's been Peter putting them up in his time jumps - I wonder if this sudden

Nice DS9 shout-out. Olivia performed the most awesome head shot ever here. Does anyone remember the sudden death of Derek Reese in The Sarah Connor Chronicles? Just boom and the body hits the floor.

I went all Admiral Ackbar, yelling, "It's a trap!" at the teevee. There might as well have been a big neon sign over that whole road scene.

I attributed their dry state to a roof overhang out of frame. Then I gave my attention to the logic-emotion pas-de-deux taking place in the frame.

I think you've hit on a winning formula. Part of the problem every time they're separated is their rocky reunion aftermath when one doesn't truly understand what the other has gone through. Two Winchesters fighting out of a hell dimension together is a fantastic idea!
