The two guys seem to have different functions. Kevin translates texts that were written in the past, while Chuck foretold the future, from scratch. So I would say, if they are both considered "prophets," the show should differentiate between their two very distinct abilities and not lump them together.

I do think Amelia will show up and, hopefully, be a real person - beyond these flashback/memories. I'm wondering though: if we've now see that Dean is an unreliable narrator of his own memories, will Sam's recall of events with Amelia be equally open to unforeseen angles? I don't know that I want a third person
