Party Down.  Maybe not as funny, but there's much, much more to it than just laughs.  Arrested Development eschews attachment by design.

First of all, I don't believe that's true, and second of all, season three was definitely worse for it.  I know at least me and Stephen77 were commenting all season long that apart from some unfortunate lapses the Dean was much more multi-dimensional in season 4.

I remember writing a long review on Borgen somewhere on this site a while back.  I'll try to find it.  The gist of it was that this show is enjoyable in spurts, and every now and then puts a really coherent hour together that rocks, but too often just seems to fail to really get tot he heart of things (and is never

It is really quite poor.  Don't get the love for it at all.  Exhibit A for Moffat's tendency to ignore sensible, character-based storytelling in favour of meaningless complexity.

I grinned like an idiot at the end.  As disappointed as I've been, and as tired I've gotten of Moffat's schtick, I've still got hope for the 50th.

Well, series seven of Doctor Who was a disappointing slog.  A damn shame.

Everybody claims they want to just hear what players actually think in interviews, until they don't.

Pretty much all the Winger speeches in season four were pretty bad.  A lot of them featured this sudden reversal of Jeff thinking something was dumb to something was awesome, with a very sappily written, typically illogical, justification.

A comment I just made applies to this too.  People seemed to treat quick jokes veeery seriously in season 4, even if they were pretty harmless.

I don't see how this episode "makes Britta an idiot".  She makes one mistake, and then listens to Pierce and refuses to live it down.

I think "Herstory" is a legitimately great episode.  Stick that sucker in season 1 and you'd have people drooling over it.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: Justified is the most underrated show on television.  I think that because it doesn't strain for "greatness" like some of the higher-profile dramas do, that the richness of the writing and acting is not given its due.  And that's not even touching the sheer entertainment

Pretty surprised to see Tatiana Maslany get some love.  But in a good way.

After rewatching a whole bunch of the most recent seasons of Justified and Breaking Bad respectively, I've concluded that in terms of being a character study of its lead character, the former is far more interesting.

Everything that went wrong with season 4 started in season 3.  As much as people will cry and moan about Harmon's departure and blame season 4's failings upon that, the things people are criticizing are elements (albeit further exaggerated) that Harmon introduced.

I would be interested.  Mostly because I think season 4 gets a lot of undeserved shit (although not as much from here).

To any hockey fans here, I recommend the website Don't Tell Me the Score.  It essentially creates a spoiler-free video player for the nhl.com highlights; i.e., you select a game, but you don't see the score listed, the listings for any of the goals/saves/etc., or the actual progress of the video itself.  So it

It's fine.  I've brought cheese on camping trips and had it last two weeks or so. It just gets really, really sweaty.

Four or five years ago, it would've been difficult to imagine The Office ending with so few people caring, but I guess that's where we are.
