I'm not surprised that I ended up with the low vote for "Virtual Systems Analysis." It kind of makes me sad that I did, however.

I realize this. That's why I'm saying that the confusion I felt over the presentation of the plot and time travel stuff detracted from the movie.
But the mechanics of the time travel are so incoherent I think any impact of Joe's "choice" was lost. It was just another thing that happened, from my perspective. The paradoxes were so massive, the plot and time lines so confused, and everything too complicated for it to mean anything to me.
That's exactly it. Afterwards, I actually started mapping out a basic plot for what my version of the film would've been. I think a story about the kind of man who would sell his undetermined future for a couple uneasy decades of wealth would've been endlessly fascinating, especially given the setting.
I saw Looper. It was OK. I felt some of the thematic oomph, particularly in the second half, was lost simply because of the incoherence of the time travel mechanic. Really liked Emily Blunt's character. Disliked the TK stuff and the musings on fate, which both seemed to come from lesser sci-fi movies. Think the…
He hit the very narrow mark of attaining both indie and street cred at the same time.
This show's OK, but whenever it goes to the Kingsley/Josie well it starts to suck. That "romance" is a huge drain on the show, and I don't get why the writers continue to try and force it.
I'd be interested in hearing the response to it. I'm intrigued as to what people think of it sans internet veil of anonymity.
What the fuck? Don Cheadle?
Doctor Who.
11 episodes of The Office. This is clear evidence that I am justified in considering it the best show ever.
Bold statement: Adam Reed's ear for dialogue is one of the best in any medium. I don't think he gets nearly enough credit for what he does.
It's a fucking moronic storyline that the show never comes close to approaching (in terms of stupidity) again.
Because he's petty.
Saw the first three episodes of Ben & Kate. Enjoyed them. Can see why people on this board would love it to bits.
When are we going to get TV Club Classic treatment for Peep Show?
I think the best current analogy would be a more mature Doctor Who.
I do adore and appreciate that there are so many good, serious dramas out there, but I do love that Justified is willing to go the opposite way and just be a load of fun.
I believe that would be an elegant dinner party.
I feel like Justified doesn't get enough credit for how funny it is.
