I think the FBI guys would've been reasonable to suspect a gun or a bomb on Nazir, and would be entirely justified in not wanting to risk their lives over him.

I think a large problem with the Dana subplot is that when the stakes are so high for every other character and what they're doing, to focus in on a teenage girl moping clashes badly and makes whatever troubles she has seem so selfish and little in comparison.

Both fantastic.  Both never seem to get the respect they deserve.

Yes.  It's an incredibly well produced, well written series.  And boy, is it ever emotionally affecting.  I'm usually fine with gore and had never out-and-out cried over any art in my adult life (I shed a couple manly tears during The Office), but this series managed to both make me nauseous and make me fucking bawl

I think that's basically it.  Miniseries just get forgotten amidst all the hype and prestige of continuing dramas.

I get the sense that The Pacific isn't appreciated as much as it should be.  For some reason it just kind of got forgotten.

Antarctica.  Seriously.

I saw it again recently (well, I was in the same room as my roommate watched it).  It works better if you're not really paying attention to it.  I think I enjoyed Bane even more, though.

T-Dog is winning TV.com's poll for "most tragic character death" of 2012.

"The best stretch in the history of any sport"?  That's a pretty bold claim.  I really don't see how Bonds distinguishes himself from some of the other all-time greats in sports, even with the use of PEDs.

The modern day coda was on the nose and silly, but ultimately not offensive. The montage that followed was brutal.  Terrible.  Just the worst.

Friction.  We wouldn't live very long at all in a world without gravity.

Well, in Pronger's case it sounds like his post-concussion symptoms are simply too great.  He's simply not able to lace 'em up again, lockout or no lockout.

I always thought it was a metaphorical way of saying "this joke was really great."

There's so much spin coming from both sides, and I care so little about the drama, that I have absolutely no position on the matter.

Given that the grades given to TV shows are not normalized, how can one come up with a reliable ranking that is based on the assumption that they are?
