Given that the grades given to TV shows are not normalized, how can one come up with a reliable ranking that is based on the assumption that they are?

I think in retrospect, Breaking Bad will most definitely suffer.  The show nails the sort of intense, pulpy, thrilling tone that makes it a joy to watch the first one or two times, but starts to unravel when looked at deeper. My favourite Christmas album (well, it's not really a Christmas album as much as a winter album) is To Drive the Cold Winter Away by Loreena McKennitt.

Louie is one of those shows I feel that you shouldn't marathon.

Ugh, those comedy noms.

Hmm, I thought it had made in 2010.  You're right, but I'm not sure it's a lock.

It's one of those things where it's not really about how he looks, but how he is.

So apparently there will be 13 new shows on this year's TV Club top 30.  Let's try and figure out which ones they are.

I actually liked the first half of the season quite a lot.  It threatened to become a little too big and ridiculous and points, but most of the character stuff was excellent, and the plotting was compelling and enjoyably pulpy.  The finale just suffered from trying to tie loose ends together too rapidly.

I thought he said that Archer was definitely in his top 5?

Stylistically, it's a very slick and well-done episode.  But I think there are a handful of problems which make it worse than the average episode.

I re-watched "Gliding Over All" last night, and it confirmed what I had previously thought: it's a fairly weak Breaking Bad episode.

My brother did, once.  I begged him not to.

Apparently he is laughing maniacally about it.

You.
