Having seen the first two Hobbit films, I enjoyed them. I will at some point see this one but not in the theaters. The previous two (and it sounds this one as well) spectacle and filler over story and emotional impact. I loved the Hobbit; these films though did not embody that story.

I'm waiting for the Speaker for the Dead adaptation. That was a better book

I liked the series, the performances were on the whole really good. But the clunky plotting and the unbelievable naivety of Robin kinda crippled the show in the end.
