Mytly: Don't think it works for the Ice Zombies. The first time the book shows that they're zombies (when two of them attack in Castle Black and Jon Snow discovers they don't like fire) I'm pretty sure the zombies were ex-Night's Watch, and IIRC there's no indication they weren't good guys.
