You know i just rewatched The Wire for the first time (I hadn't seen the first season since its finale when it first aired) And I think that the Clay Davis court room scenes are  truly the most amazing and realistic of any of the series.

So like they did 4 years ago?

Exactly how I characterized it. Throw a few popular news stories, make mostly random jokes with a few that barely pertain to the "satire" sjubject. And then comes the praise for how topical the show is. The show used to be better at taking advantage of the turnaround, but now it is really suffering.

Really you got all that out of the episode? I figured Matt and Trey saw news about Star Wars, then a campaign commercial start and decided to combine the two. Those things don't have to mesh well into any type of  plot, PEOPLE ARE TALKING ABOUT THEM,

I am with you American Dad did do so in a superior way, I agree with@avclub-eac75edc18b8546c46893fe4b75ab995:disqus , Not only did we have the running intentionally bad joke of Gen. Tso, but they did that with another joke in the episode. I am sure some people laughed at the joke, but it seemed like they couldnt write

I see what you did there…but seriously they will be scrambling for them after next season's opportunity to force Kodak into the plot.

That would be kind of amazing. Would love to see them point out the flaws of the Bond character/the period the movie was set….I would love that.

I gotta say we are the complete opposites here. I thought I would really like flophouse due to movie selection, but the hosts got pretty annoying (even though they had a good chemistry), the jokes were hit and miss, and I had to hear a little too much about other stuff the hosts had going on.

I agree it is pretty hit or miss. For something like WHM I will listen to them tear apart any movie regardless (and often they favor the more obscure anyway), but for HDTGM I have to hate the movie, its a big recognizable flop, or I hear good things about that particular show.

It really was just too long for me…if it was a random isolated part of the episode presenting the factory I would be fine. But South Park loves to run something into the ground or let something overstay its welcome.
