kudos impromptu.
kudos impromptu.
That really reminds me of Arrested Development.
I think you're more likely looking at a Kanye West type for that role, rather than Pete Wentz.
Zulkey FTW

Great band. What do you think of Watershed with the new drummer?
Heavy Metal Parking Lot
I only became aware of this short documentary a couple of months ago. I have no idea how it escaped my attention.
"I want power metal bands to sing about Thor, not dress like him." - well said :)
I think he recently played a corpse on Law & Order.
Here here Towelie! Aenima really changed my life. I swear, 1996-1997 pretty much all I listened to was Aenima and Free Mars by D'Amour's band, Lusk.
Transilience
Anyone remember them? Stalwarts of the late-80s/early-90s D.C. hardcore scene…ahead of their time progressive speed metal. The guy who did vocals and lead guitar was really young at the time, and went on to make some really interesting "prog-pop" music.
Anal Cunt is not a joke. Seth Putnam was literally born with a cunt for an anus and the band is his way of attaining some level of catharsis.
I love the Reznor/Jourgensen cover of Supernaut on that NIB tribute album. I can't remember the name of their band though.
A Wellsian hop!
Yes, Slipknot is technically metal. Just shitty, soulless, cynically-conceived metal that personifies the worst kind of pandering to "disaffected" adolescent suburbanites.
which i just realized has no info about indricothere for some odd reason..ah well, there's a myspace.
Here is Colin Marston's website: http://thethousandcaves.com/
Or watch "Metal: A Headbanger's Journey".
Just started getting into Burzum. I was surprisingly really impressed with their sound, as I've never really been into black metal. At all. But that is some eerie guitar work, holy shit. That opening lead on "Jesus' Tod" from Filosofem…something inherently disturbing about it, that's for sure.
You should have included a category for some stand-out bands who are hard to categorize!
Indricothere is some of the most mind-bending metal I've heard in a long time.
Check out "Indricothere". OR anything associated with Colin Marston, for that matter. ("Behold… The Arctopus" - exceptional technical metal.)
