They seem to have found a nice white australian woman for the main character. If they don't at least flirt with miscengenation, this will be the most cowardly multiethnic show ever.

They actually straight up brought out a caste joke. A CASTE JOKE.

They actually did resort to that basement bhangra song at least three times during the episode.

The opening did feature a great pop-culture Donald Glover sight gag.

Did you hear Alison on the Nerdist podcast? She was adorable, if not exactly a nerdist.

Wow, if they mention the AV Club, I guess it means I'll have to get it…plus, DVD sales easily overcome poor ratings.

I'm 28, and I still talk to about 4 people from high school, and that's about it. But those 4 people are very close friends.

I disagree - Phil is just about the only part of the show that I really find funny.

My love of books has really little to do with it being purist, and more to do with me not wanting to spend money for every book I read. I buy a lot of books, but I take even more out of the library. When the Kindle can connect to the NYC public library, I'll buy one.

slcgrad, I met her at the AVclub thing in NYC last year. She was super-nice, and I think I avoided hitting on her precisely because I knew how bad it would go. I was unprepared for how good-looking she is in person.

Wow, I did not expect that kind of seriousness from O'Neal!

olddondraper actually just made me a little depressed.

The lack of clinic duty the last two seasons is definitely part of the show's decline.

    I laughed.

    Wellup
I'll give it a few more episodes, but I think I'm done with this show after last season and this episode. They handle characters leaving worse than any other show. How did Morrison leave? Kutner? Now Wilde? The only one who had a decent goodbye was Amber, who I now relish seeing when she pops up on Mad Men.

Good work Teya. Elektra complexes theoretically resolve by age 4. This is textbook modeling behavior.

I don't think they were rolling in at 5 til five…I think she only had to sit in the office five minutes because Betty was coming to pick her up at noon. Or did I totally miss that it was the end of the day?

    He's the 60s Murphy Brown.

Oh man, those glasses almost killed me. And by killed me I mean by priapism.

Y'all know that Joyce isn't so much a legitimate actress as she is David Mamet's daughter, right? I get the feeling her casting was kind of a favor.
