Yeah, I'm not quite sure how either of those books could actually be adapted. Though the idea of people murdering each other over a pair of $1,000 nikes may actually attract the company.

    Syrup
Max Barry wrote an excellent book called Syrup about making a feature-length movie-ad for Coca-Cola, which features Winona Ryder, Gweneth Paltrow, and Brad Pitt as starring characters. Interestingly, the book has been optioned by George Clooney's production company.

    Heh
Now all I can think about is a massive, simultaneous failure of Magical Fat Tape all over the midwest, with people exploding into protoplasmic engines of destruction, like Tetsuo at the end of Akira.

I kind of agree…my DVD collection tends to go unwatched, because I tend to read books and listen to music far more than I watch tv or movies (even moreso recently), but I enjoy having them because every so often you get in that mood, y'know?

Nut-Cup, it's a thing, you just have to enjoy it.

it was indeed enormously fun. it was very cool to meet the AVCrew, particularly to banter about NY and Chicago with Keith Phipps, to instruct Josh Modell to the Shake Shack, to argue with Andy Battaglia about his exclusion of Warp Records artists from the top electronic music of the decade, and to have the lovely Ms.

    Well
I find it hard to believe anything with Matt Frewer in it can be bad.

So what you're saying is that you've never been to Staten Island?

I'm in Queens, can I still bitch about it? The G train don't go to park slope, if it goes anywhere at all.

They're all having a slumber party at Amelie's…AND WE'RE ALL INVITED.

He's not crazy - he comes from circumstances.

Rito Moreno is pretty awesome, it's true.

    Wow
I can't believe that Whoopie has actually won an emmy, oscar, grammy, and tony. But she did. Apparently EGOT is a real term.

I couldn't even sit directly in front of the TV. I sat at my desk, drinking scotch, looking sideways at the TV whilst softly sobbing about my $120k student loan debt. Damn you, Michael Scott, and all people harboring false hope.

Obviously the best one was "In an ideal world, I'd have all ten fingers on one hand, with the other curled in a perpetual fist"
