A challenge coin is a military item used by aviators.  Back during WWI a pilot was shot down behind enemy lines, and was able to evade back to an allied unit.  He had kept a coin emblazoned with his unit symbol tucked into his clothes, and used it as proof when "challenged" to verify his identity.  All U.S. military

J.P. McPickleshitter - yes Walt did only see the kid once, but bear in mind that he is a certifiable genius, he clearly saw how happy Jesse was (compared to a few weeks prior when he was in full PTSD mode) and how protective Jesse became of them when shoving him out, meaning he knew they were important to him. He had

Yeah, I don't recall who was reviewing the show on this site, but they consistently gave Season 2 episodes considerably higher grades than they deserved.

All right, fess up, who peed in Stephen Bowie's corn flakes? ;)

Between four Disney blockbusters with diminishing returns and a pair of ridiculously successful "fucking pirate" porn movies, is Black Sails really necessary?

While some of the things which become hits are indeed depressing and/or mystifying, I wouldn't oversing this show's praises.  Beautiful sets, good actors, but nothing terribly surprising or original to be seen here.  Entertaining, yes, and certainly not out of gas, but without big ratings, Starz wasn't willing to pay

No, even with Sy dead, that shell corporation's name is still on the Miramar's deed as minority owner.  Either whoever from the Philadelphia outfit steps in to take Sy's piece of the pie (not Ben, he's in a hospital bed and under arrest) tries to block the sale, or the outfit approves the sale to Meg for the same

Have you tried to meet a good man in Miami?  It's definitely a town where "has killed a bunch of people" stops being a disqualifying standard for a relationship. ;)

Yeah, he was left high and dry last year.  Of course, given his season 6 misadventures (one intern passes out, another has to be fired for auctioning off evidence, and the third intern is the serial killer wanna-be that never went anywhere), you can say he had been neglected.

Hmm… interesting thought exercise - shows that sustained greatness past 5-6 seasons.

True.  It might have been more effective to have her come to, undo her own belt, and then spend a few agonizing moments watching Dexter sink before deciding to save him after all.

It certainly feels like that.  I dunno, maybe she'll get kidnapped by The Brain Surgeon as a cheap way to try and ratchet up the emotional stakes?

Because the #1 thing they look at before accepting recruits to the police force are high school English grades. ;)

No, I concur.  He's certainly easier to root for (or you can at least justify it better) than Ray Donovan, who at this point just seems to be kind of a moody cipher with a penchant for violence and an occasional soft spot, but who's related to people who are even more violent and don't really have soft spots.  Ghost

Compare and contrast Season 6 and Season 7 - Season 6 didn't really have enough plot (or at least, not enough that wasn't really cliche) to sustain itself.  Season 7 went on its own killing spree with loose ends that could have been mildly entertaining and side characters they just didn't want to deal with anymore.

Show of hands, who thinks Richard/David Spade could kick Quinn's ass? ;)

No, the first rule of the code is don't get caught.  The guy's hooked up to machines, and anything that messes with his vitals is going to have nurses and/or security swarming into the room in a matter of seconds.  No way to get both you and your M-99ed would-be victim out of the room without being caught in that

Personally I think the ending of Season 5 would have been a perfectly acceptable series finale.  Ah well, too late now.

It's called "her contract allows only rear nudity, and nobody wants to see Joey Quinn's skinny ass."

C'mon now, you get 100 points per section just for putting your name on the SAT.  Quinn's an idiot, but not even he could manage to get a double digit score on an SAT.
