Yeah, you're right Bernice, Amazon did take it without a court order, is that legal? Maybe there's some condition under rights in the terms - I know that for TV download services like 4 on Demand they can revoke episodes you downloaded (and return your money) if a rights problem arises.

I've heard of cases where publishers have had to track down purchasers of books and try and get them to return them, so yeah, it can happen. For instance http://www.accessola.com/ol…

This could make it the most popular film shown in Navan since Jurassic Park

Well, Hatori Hanzo, I think it's strange he's friends with Fu Manchu and he thinks he knows you.

I had to read it twice, I took it that he was going to murder them if he just had one half more of a takeaway. If so, I reckon it'd have been a mutton vindaloo.

Swallow it all Jeeves
Apparently Plum had his knighthood delayed, not for his naive Nazi broadcasts from occupied France, but because some civil servant feared that his characters "gave the wrong impression of Britain to the Americans".

John Logie Baird was British of the Scots extraction…

To be fair, the internet (that is, the networks) is USA-ian, it's the web (the way we talk across it, HTML) that is from a Brit.

South Park
Didn't South Park already do this film back in 2004 with You Got F'd in the A?

4oD
Just discovered this on 4oD after reading about it here. Huzzah for the internet!

Up the Arse corner
One for Viz I think.

Verne made Nemo a Hindu driven to fight by Britain. He was originally to have been a Polish noble fighting the Russians, but Verne's publishers got worried that the Russian government would complain. They didn't care about HM Government, so made him Hindu.

I'd same James Follett, author of Earth Search, has even more reason to complain as it sounds sneakily similar (bad AI v a few humans, the false Earth found and then this ending).

I only hope…
That Summer Heights High can do something to redeem Australian comedy. Isn't there a film of it due?

How much…?
…Does it cost to buy a full page NY Times article these days?

Rogue Trooper or a proper Judge Dredd one would get my vote. Which storyline though? The Apocalypse Wars was good but may be a bit dated (sorry Putin) but the Judge Child and Dark Judges also have film potential, albeit with a bit of cutting and splicing their spreading over different episodes for continuity.

What's with the dentistry thing, you guys still getting your cultural values from the Simpsons? I get a check up and treatment for next to nothing, and what makes US teeth so good, other than TV star's freakishly bleached ones?

It's gone a decade since it was made…
…someone tell Anne Heche that the Psycho remake still isn't regarded as 'classic''

There's the episode of Daria, Depth Takes a Holiday, where Guy Fawkes Day's (WTF, it's not a day?) stream of swearing meant that most of it was censored.
