but…
In the long run, I hope I'm wrong. Didn't mean to sound so harsh; I love Sanz, Parnell, et al, but for chrissakes, this show is a back-breaking swing-and-a-miss right now.

Facts
1. THIS SHOW IS TERRIBLE. Everyone defending this show, please stop. There were no laughs in either episode. It feels tired and shallow, and not at all funny. B- is the most surprisingly generous grade I have ever seen.

Ah Phil. . .from the warehouse. . .with the pains in your head. It's goddamn good to see you.

Mel Gibson enthusiastically joined the cast of Signs because he actually thought that it was a racial allegory about the blacks encroaching on the white man's land. Tall, athletic invaders speaking in clicks? The clincher: "I don't think they like water."

Great Article
This made my night even better.

anyone else notice…?
Gus' Spanish accent coming out a bit when he's angry? Makes his "normal" speaking voice seem even more of a smokescreen. Little things like this are part of why this is one of the greatest dramas ever.

I haven't seen Stuart Saves his Family in years, but I remember it being pretty damn funny.

Man, I hope that ZMF didn't quit his bar-tending gig to pursue singularly-obnoxious character development full time. Or did I just bite?

Amen and well-done to all of that. great post

Am I just being an audio nerd…
or did it seem like whoever was doing the sound for Jay-Z messed up. The music, compared to the vocals, was so quiet that it felt . . . .awkward? Like between verses or during intros it seemed like there was no music, and we were waiting for something to finally happen?

oh boy a sports analogy
if TBS were the general manager of a basketball team, right now it is Danny Ainge trading for Garnett.

Let's put a bow on this shall we?
That Gelfling chick is way hot.

As someone who loves Seinfeld. . .
I'd like to hear what shows all the Seinfeld haters think are funny. And feel free to elucidate your hate Seinfeld/love X rationales.

Awesome
Great article; interested to read the "theory of comedy" . . .
I grew up watching the Honeymoores from about age 9, and if I ever catch it on TV I make a point to take time out to watch it. My wife wasn't as familiar with THM, and after talking it up a bunch before we watched an episode, I found myself in that

seriously. . .
I just want to say that I love reading Nathan Rabin. Good work, as usual.

I'm Suriyat motherfucker! My balls are HUGE!

he doesn't have to be a WH employee. He can be a bloke with "experience in the paper game" looking for a job stateside. It doesn't have to be terrible, and could actually wrap up the series nicely. However, I do predict MS saying "I really like this guy" or something to that effect

So El D, since you and I have the first two pretty much switched, can you tell me why you preferred the first one? For me, now that I think about it, I think the Goblin's costume ruined it for me.

Let's all hope
that we get "Spiderman IV: The Quest for Peace."

am i not reading the thread correctly, or has no one yet mentioned Lionel Hutz?
