I had to look up Tab Spangler to even realize this was a Simpsons character. So, I'm going to say he was not in the running for Albert Brooks' best Simpsons character.

Anyone that doesn't consider Hank Scorpio the best Albert Brooks character on The Simpsons is probably an idiot.

I work in a theater and there have been a couple times where we didn't even release the 2D version until months after the release (Avatar). Add in that some studios have forced theaters to release the 3D version instead of the 2D version if the theater has 3D capability (How To Train Your Dragon for example).

So long as Joss Whedon is not involved in any writing at all of The Avengers, I have a small sliver of hope that it will be a watchable movie. I no longer hope for it to be decent because I don't think Joss Whedon has delivered anything that good yet.

@C'MON DUDES

The implication is that Indomidable Spirit is not an extremely hilarious sketch which is just plain crazy.

The Good The Bad And The Ugly is probably the best western but it depends on how recently I've seen Once Upon A Time In The West.

Oh, You Men might be my favorite episode of the whole series
I don't think there was a single main segment that doesn't work and work well. The Watch More TV is weak but it's so brief that it can't hurt a show as episode this strong. It's one of the few episodes were I don't think a great joke goes on so long that

I enjoy this one as well. It's solid not because they were trying to be more extreme than the shows on which it's based. It works because the joke is how ridiculous Bob and David play the stereotypes. If a teenage girl played Bob's role, no laughs. If David's roles were two different characters, no laughs.

Posting for the same reason except I played 60 Seconds To Save The Queen so far. Please never lose this column.

I was talking about Marge's original advice which is what zxcvb was referencing. Marge even says something like "It doesn't matter how you feel inside. It's what's on the surface that counts."

There aren't many funny Marge moments, but that makes them even funnier when they happen. Examples:

How can someone not like the Michael Jackson episode? "It's got PINK frosting," Bart completing Homer's test, "He's dressed without flair," Leon Kompowski singing "You gave-a me the gift a doo de doo doo doo."

As someone that had depression as a child and whose mother suggested that I fake being happy, I can assure you that Marge's advice was horseshit.

It is impossible for me to submerge myself in any body of water without immediately thinking of Jaws. Ocean, lake, swimming pool. It doesn't matter. My first thought is that a shark is swimming behind me, watching me, ready to kill me.

George saying he doesn't feel comfortable receiving the pleasure of a massage causing him to talk is exactly how I imagine I would react to receiving a professional massage.

Real men can beat Contra without the Konami code.

"It's not a lie if you believe it" comes from George helping Jerry try to pass a lie detector test so his girlfriend doesn't learn that Jerry watches Melrose Place.

I just want to say that Superman had no super humor. The yellow sun seemed to affect his physical body only and he was only above average with mental powers. So, his mind probably wasn't affected.

I'm not familiar at all with David Foster Wallace, but apparently my standard writing style is similar to his. Should I be insulted or happy with the comparison?
