I am seriously behind on my comics reading — I've only read up to issue 3 of the relaunched series. But I like it a lot. There was a great scene between Gwen and the pregnant, 616 Spider-Woman. And I find (most of) the twists on the 'normal' Spidey supporting characters to be (mostly) clever and interesting.

I came here just to see if someone made this reference. Very disappointed in the AVClub's slow uptake on this one. I guess some people will just Say Anything as a response.

I was just having this exact same conversation during lunch at work today. Weird. One of my coworkers is a not-quite-thirty-year-old who insisted he wasn't a Millennial, and we told him he was Gen Y.

I had the last episode of Fringe on my DVR for almost a year before I watched it. I still haven't seen the last episode of Chuck. (Although that last one is because my DVR didn't record it properly at the time and for some reason Comcast removed from the free On Demand immediately after the series ended. Eventually

You can turn off the "revive" option in Bioshock. I'm not sure if that would increase its appeal for you, but still…

See, that's so insane! Joshua Tree is one of the greatest albums of all time! There should be NO SHAME in liking it!!

Not to disparage your 11th grade self, but I wasn't kidding when I called it a mature album. It's Petty's way of working through his divorce, and it might definitely appeal to adults more than teenagers.

Interesting take on the Police. Solid Gen X-er here, and I recall them being pretty well-respected in high school as well.

True, but at least Mormons share a more-or-less common value system with mainstream Christianity. So I can understand why conservative Christians wouldn't object to voting for a Mormon*.

One of my biggest headaches of this political season is trying to convince my Dad — a lifelong Methodist — to support the candidate who is also a lifelong Methodist, instead of the candidate who CLEARLY has no clue about or interest in Christianity whatsoever.

"Portastatic: …I know I’m keeping The Nature Of Sap and The Summer Of The Shark. … Keeping three, purging six."

She's the One is great. "Walls (Circus)" is like the platonic ideal of a power-pop song.

    Nooooooo!!!!

Enough has been made about "Suicide Squad" dominating most of the MCU movies that don't include Iron Man and/or the Avengers*; it passed "Captain America 2" this weekend.

    Even Hornswaggle?!?

    "Make crosses from your lovers"

    *ahem*

I know Mike Myers brought Wayne's World with him, and Fred Armisen brought Fericito. (I first became aware of Armisen on a Wilco documentary, made well before he was on SNL, and he was doing the Fericito character on that.)

Oh, wow, it really has, hasn't it?

What bad thing happened to him in Silent Hill?
