I have a 6- and 7-year-old. When they watch shows like Gravity Falls or Wander Over Yonder, they don't care if the episode is new or not. In fact, they get MORE excited about episodes they've already seen. So when you say "comfort and joy", they are already getting that through the reruns.

Could still be a fake-out. None of the visions have come to pass exactly like they first appeared.

Also, Joey had just killed a guy and was clearly suffering from a form of PTSD. That's why he was so buggy at the base. Made perfect sense to me.

O'Neal once spoiled a huge Boardwalk Empire event *the very next day in a Family Guy newswire*. It was a dick move, and I'm still kinda pissed at him for it.

If by "blacklisted", you mean "forced to appear in a TV show with James Spader", then yes.

No, no. Not "age" as in "era". "Age" as in "how old Ultron is". The title poses an implicit question.

Er, yes. Nick Fury did end up being against a Nazi takeover of the world.

No, you and Manimal are also recognized haters. Knock yourself out.

I am very surprised that he hasn't tried to get one of those carte-blanche premium cable deals, a la FX or HBO or what-have-you.

Yeah. I kind of roll my eyes when people expect that a studio will just give $200 million to a director without oversight. And it's not like these are Whedon's characters to begin with!

People often complain that Marvel movies lack a director's touch. I disagree, and there are plenty of examples in this thread that show why.

Nick Fury was completely on board with the flying death fleet, from the beginning of the movie. That had nothing to do with Hydra; moral complexity restored.

I'm a lowly high school teacher, but if I were somehow representing my school at a public function, I certainly wouldn't complain about how the district suits are creating unreasonable work loads and expecting unreasonable results, no matter how true it is.

I think this speaks more to the end result of Thor 2, rather than anything that Marvel did.

During AoU promotion, Whedon was so clearly tired and burnt out. He said many things, some of which were contradictory, some of which were incoherent. I know it makes great headlines, but honestly, any reporter with integrity should've realized that the "sound bite" aspect of it didn't reflect the true situation.

Everyone always claims he had to set up a lot of movies, but is that really the case? Other than the Thor infodump about Infinity Stones (a clear set up for Infinity War), I can't think of any scenes that were only there to serve future movies.

    You forget:

Not just trained… Parts of her body were stripped away so that she could become a more effective killer. They literally broke her in the Red Room.

It was a sneak attack. The outboard motor would've alerted the British. Duh.

    Jessica can fly, can't she?
