You're welcome, Myles.  It's a pleasure to come here and read your take on the show… even when I think you're wrong, like when the killer LANDMARK STORY got a mere piddling B.  The comments are fun, too.  I never thought I'd chime in on a message board, because who needs the writer lurking about and being defensive?

Hey, Nathan Rabin:  thanks for years of great writing.  Your voice will be missed.

Appreciate the clarification. But we all know you're just incapable of feeling joy, McNutt.

This was a gratifying comment to read.  The camera crew, locations department, and production design team all do subtly impressive work on the show.  It's a pleasure to watch them find ways to be inventive within a procedural framework.

It's all to do with computers and stuff, right?

Clyde actually was in last night's episode, you just have to look very closely.

I thought maybe you were baiting me, since I showed up in The Leviathan thread.

Well, Myles, since you asked about the origin of the war game story…

I liked it!  Also, I totally wrote that episode they're talking about.  It's nice to see the show get a little posthumous love on my favorite web site.

I was one of the co-writers of this script… wanted to weigh in to say I found this to be a fascinating read on the episode.  We wrote it with some of these connections in mind; others emerged while we shot and edited it.  Joan's mom, for example, could very easily have played as a more typical tiger mom if interpreted
