I'm coming to this two months late, but I completely agree.  I loved how he completely insulted Ollie (accurately, too) and then refused to name Ollie as the leak.  He's above being an informer.

I always thought the idea at the beginning of dumb people having more kids is a red herring so that the corporations which financed the movie  would be pacified.  When Luke Wilson wakes up in the future the US is a wasteland almost entirely because of corporate power & privatization.
